Book Your Notary is an online notarization platform connecting customers with a bilingual team of notaries, allowing documents to be notarized remotely instead of through an in-person appointment. The platform handles the full notarization journey – identification, authorization, and the notarization process itself – entirely online.
The Challenge
Notarization exists to confirm who someone is and whether they’re authorized to sign, but the traditional process built around that goal is often unnecessarily inconvenient. A few specific problems needed solving:
Arranging appointments, meeting a notary in person, and coordinating availability turned a simple requirement into a recurring hassle for regular users
Moving notarization online couldn’t mean cutting corners – the platform needed to recreate the trust and certainty of the in-person process, not just digitize it loosely
The client’s notary team and customers were bilingual, making language accessibility a real requirement, not an afterthought
Our Approach
01
Recreate Trust, Not Just Convenience
The goal wasn’t simply making notarization available on a website – it was rebuilding the trust and certainty of the in-person process in digital form. That distinction shaped every decision that followed, not just the final interface.
02
Let Compliance Decide the Hard Calls
Wherever security and ease-of-use pulled in different directions, compliance took precedence. A faster process that isn’t trustworthy defeats the entire purpose of notarization, so convenience never won that tradeoff.
03
Design for the Real Team You Have
The client’s bilingual notary team and customer base was treated as a real input from the start, not a translation layer bolted on after the core product was finished.
04
Hide the Complexity, Don't Remove It
The underlying process needed to stay structured and rigorous for compliance reasons. The actual design job was making that complexity feel simple to the user, without quietly skipping any of the steps that make notarization valid.

Identification and authorization are built directly into the online journey, designed specifically for a remote, compliance-sensitive context rather than borrowed from a generic document-signing flow.
No. Wherever security and ease-of-use pulled in different directions, compliance took precedence, so the platform recreates the trust and certainty of the in-person process rather than simply digitizing it loosely.
It’s bilingual by design. The client’s bilingual notary team and customer base were treated as a real input from the start, not a translation layer added after the core product was finished.
Yes. The underlying process stays structured and rigorous for compliance reasons, but the actual design work went into making that complexity feel simple to the customer without skipping any steps that make notarization valid.
A structured workflow connects customers with available notaries directly, replacing the manual scheduling back-and-forth that comes with arranging an in-person appointment.
Yes. Syndell builds platforms that move regulated, in-person processes online while keeping the compliance and trust that make them valid in the first place.
Moving a Compliance-Heavy Process Online?
Compliance and convenience don’t have to be opposites. Describe your process and we’ll show you where digitizing it actually holds up.
This clothing manufacturer does the hard part well – producing men’s apparel out of Ahmedabad, India, at real production scale. The existing system wasn’t carrying its weight: the Laravel and Angular codebase needed optimization, and inventory and sales features needed rebuilding for a more secure, user-centric experience.

Highgrove is a UK premium bedding brand that ran sales and orders on a desktop ERP. Manual order handling, inconsistent pricing, and weak access control called for a secure web app connected to its existing Sage system.

Praiki connects verified clients with verified professionals across Africa. Hiring there ran through social media and referrals, so trust, scope, payment, and reputation all depended on chance.
This data platform turns scattered fleet and driver information into something a sales team can actually use. Collecting it by hand wasn’t sustainable: public sources are unstructured and often outdated, so the work needed a single system that scrapes, cleans, and organizes records, then makes them easy to search, filter, and turn into leads.

This scheduling platform brings physicians, facilities, and medical vendors into one place, with availability, OR rooms, and vendor requests all visible together. The old way wasn’t holding up: three groups working from separate calendars needed a single connected system that syncs with Google and Outlook and pulls patient data from major EHRs, deployed on AWS with DynamoDB.

HWA does the hard part well – connecting clients with verified holistic practitioners across yoga, nutrition therapy, hypnotherapy, and chiropractic care. The old process wasn’t carrying its weight: practitioners and clients coordinated sessions through separate tools and manual communication, with no shared system for bookings, packages, or payments.

Clutch Up does the hard part well – bringing the fantasy sports format users already understand into competitive esports tournaments. The platform wasn’t carrying its weight yet: tournament and player data needed to stay accurate in real time, and esports rosters change mid-event in ways traditional fantasy models don’t handle.

LegalTech / Legal Operations
BriefMate does the hard part well – automatically renaming legal documents and assembling court-ready briefs for Australian law firms. The old process wasn’t carrying its weight: paralegals spent days downloading, converting, ordering, and indexing files by hand, with inconsistent naming that made documents hard to find later.
DHE Parts does the hard part well – distributing roughly 200,000 SKUs of heavy-equipment components to fleet operators and dealer networks. The ERP wasn’t carrying its weight: quote-to-order handoff lost information constantly, and vendor price updates were a two-week manual project run by hand across dozens of sheets.
