About Rollen
Rollen is a luxury jewelry brand offering rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and a dedicated men’s collection, built on ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones and three generations of design craftsmanship. The brand includes a full lab-grown diamond line alongside its traditional fine jewelry catalog.
The Challenge
Jewelry is one of the hardest categories to sell online – customers are used to seeing and touching a piece before committing to a high-value purchase. A few specific problems needed solving:
Customers needed real reasons to trust an online jewelry purchase, not just attractive product photography
Ethical sourcing is an increasingly important buyer concern, but a vague “conflict-free” badge does little to actually build confidence
With a broad catalog spanning many categories and use cases, gift-buyers and self-purchasers needed different paths to find what they were looking for quickly
Our Approach
01
Lead With Reassurance, Not Just Product Photography
For a considered, high-value purchase, trust signals – sourcing claims, craftsmanship heritage, a satisfaction guarantee – were treated as primary content on the site, not secondary badges tucked into a footer.
02
Build Separate Paths for Gifting and Self-Purchase
Someone shopping for a gift has different needs – occasion, price range, recipient – than someone shopping for themselves. Distinct entry points were built for each, rather than forcing both through one undifferentiated catalog.
03
Make the Ethical Sourcing Claim Something You Can Actually Explain
Rather than a single “conflict-free” badge, the site was built to explain what that sourcing claim actually means, since vague ethical claims are increasingly met with skepticism from jewelry buyers specifically.
04
Organize the Catalog Around Real Shopping Occasions, Not Just Product Type
Collections like “gifts under $500” and “gifts for her/him” were built alongside standard category browsing, so a customer could shop by occasion or by product type, whichever matched how they were actually thinking.

Results & Impact
Rollen now has a storefront that treats trust as core content rather than an afterthought, gives gift-buyers and self-purchasers separate paths suited to how they actually shop, and explains its ethical sourcing claims clearly enough to actually build confidence rather than just assert it.

Trust-building service messaging integrated into the shopping experience
Customers are used to seeing and touching a piece before committing to a high-value purchase, so they needed real reasons to trust an online purchase rather than attractive photography alone.
Instead of relying on a vague “conflict-free” badge, the site was built to actually explain what Rollen’s sourcing claims mean, since jewelry buyers specifically tend to meet vague ethical claims with skepticism.
Distinct entry points were built for each, since someone shopping for a gift is thinking about occasion, price range, and recipient, while someone buying for themselves has different priorities entirely.
Yes, collections like “Gifts for Her,” “Gifts for Him,” and “Gifts Under $500” were built alongside standard category browsing, so customers can shop however they’re already thinking about the purchase.
Customer service and concierge messaging were integrated directly into the shopping experience, alongside craftsmanship heritage content and a satisfaction guarantee, all treated as primary content rather than secondary badges.
Yes. If your product needs real trust-building before a high-value purchase, Syndell can build a Shopify store that treats that trust as core content instead of an afterthought.
Simplify Your Buying Experience
Share your store’s details and see how a clearer, trust-focused site could turn more browsers into buyers.
Kayme does the hard part well – designing dresses people genuinely want, with a loyal following built over time. The backend wasn’t carrying its weight: Magento couldn’t scale without inviting fresh problems, and orders had to be manually reformatted for the shipping company by hand, every single time.
Dollar Blinds does the hard part well – precision, made-to-measure window shades built to each customer’s exact specifications. The checkout wasn’t carrying its weight: Shopify’s native cart had no concept of configuration-based pricing, and multi-panel products couldn’t be split, priced, or mirrored correctly for a real order.

Little West does the hard part well – cold-pressed juice from West Coast produce, bottled within 48 hours of harvest, with a Farmlink Project partnership. The website wasn’t carrying its weight: “fresh” is an overused, easily-doubted claim in this category, and the old site gave nothing concrete to back it up.
Business & Pleasure Co. does the hard part well – premium beach and outdoor furniture, including a Jenni Kayne collaboration, sold to retail and trade buyers. The website wasn’t carrying its weight: some products offered 200+ fabric combinations, leaving customers with decision overload instead of a confident choice.
Enwolt does the hard part well – an authorized EU distributor of ENGWE and VARUN e-bikes, with free shipping and a one-year warranty. The website wasn’t carrying its weight: customers had real unanswered questions on legality, range, and charging, and Enwolt needed its own credibility independent of the manufacturer names.
