About HONOR
HONOR is a dating app built around trust, inclusiveness, and real human connection, designed for daters in Dallas who want an alternative to the competitive, overwhelming feel of typical dating apps. The platform combines profile security, thoughtful UX, and a strong sense of local community into one experience, alongside a public website that introduces the app’s philosophy to new users.
The Challenge
Most dating apps optimize for competition – endless swiping, carefully curated profiles, and little real assurance about who’s actually on the other side. A few specific problems needed solving:
Users had little assurance about the authenticity or integrity of the profiles and information they encountered
The founder’s philosophy of inclusiveness needed to be woven into the actual product experience, not just stated as an idea
The app needed to reflect how someone actually dates in Dallas specifically, not a generic dating journey borrowed from a larger, more anonymous market
Our Approach
01
Start With What Makes Dating Apps Feel Bad, Not a Feature List
Before designing anything, we listed out what actually makes dating apps feel unpleasant to use – constant comparison, uncertainty about who’s real, the sense of competing for attention – and used that list as the standard every design decision had to answer to.
02
Push "Inclusive" and "Welcoming" Down Into Small, Specific Decisions
Those words are easy to say and hard to build. We worked them into specific choices instead – how a profile is displayed, what happens right after a match, the tone of the copy on screen – rather than leaving them as a mission statement nobody actually experiences using the app.
03
Decide How Data Gets Protected Before Designing a Single Screen
We worked out how profile and personal data would actually be secured before any UI design started. An app that looks trustworthy but isn’t backed by real security decisions is worse than making no promise of trust at all.
04
Base the User Journey on How Dallas Daters Actually Behave
Rather than using a generic dating-app template, we looked at how dating realistically plays out for someone in Dallas – when they’d open the app, what they’d want to see first, what would make them give up and delete it.

Results & Impact
HONOR gives Dallas daters a genuine alternative to the competitive, overwhelming feel of typical dating apps. Trust, inclusiveness, and profile security aren’t left as abstract values here, they’re built into specific decisions: how a profile displays, what happens right after a match, the tone of on-screen copy, and how personal data is protected from the ground up rather than bolted on after the interface was finished.
The platform is built and ready on both iOS and Android, backed by a marketing website that carries the same trust-first philosophy to new users before they ever download the app. Since HONOR hasn’t fully launched yet, there’s no usage data to report; the work so far has focused on making sure the product itself, not just the messaging, actually reflects what sets it apart.

Most dating apps optimize for competition, endless swiping, curated profiles, and little real assurance about who’s actually on the other side. HONOR was built as an alternative grounded in trust, inclusiveness, and real human connection for daters in Dallas specifically.
Those values were worked into specific decisions, how a profile is displayed, what happens right after a match, the tone of on-screen copy, rather than left as a mission statement nobody experiences while using the app.
Profile and personal data protection was worked out before any UI design started, so security decisions shaped the product from the beginning rather than being added after the interface was built.
No. The discovery-to-connection journey was designed around how someone in Dallas actually dates, based on real local behavior rather than a generic dating-app journey borrowed from a larger, more anonymous market.
Yes. Syndell designs and builds consumer apps grounded in a specific philosophy or local market, rather than a generic template, including the security and UX decisions that make that philosophy real.

Esports tournaments move fast, and fans follow them from their phones, not a desk. The Clutch Up mobile app puts the fantasy format in their pocket, letting players draft rosters, follow live tournament scoring, and check how their picks are performing as matches unfold, from the first game to the final.

HealthTech / Wellness Marketplace
Wellness sessions rarely happen at a desk. The HWA mobile app brings the practitioner and client experience to a phone, letting clients browse packages and book at-home, virtual, or in-person sessions while practitioners manage availability, bookings, and package payments wherever their day takes them, between sessions or on the road.

Enlace Ganadero does the hard part well – connecting livestock buyers and sellers across the Americas for deals worth as much as a house. The starting prototype wasn’t carrying its weight: buyers had only a handful of photos, no way to compare listings, and no real trust signals before committing.

Zoundslike does the hard part well – AI-powered, game-based English practice paired with live peer-to-peer speaking sessions. The platform wasn’t carrying its weight: core flows were incomplete and unstable, no mobile app existed yet, and unresolved audio issues undermined the entire speaking-practice experience on iOS.
Textile and Garment / Stock and Supply Chain Management
Shree Mahadev Textile App serves the textile and garment industry, where demand shifts by season and supply chains span many parties. Stock accuracy, personalized shopping, and payment security all needed to live in one mobile app.

Go Green is a UK hub helping the live music industry cut its carbon footprint. Organizers, artists, and fans lacked simple tools to measure their impact, find eco-friendly suppliers and venues, and offset emissions, so the mobile app puts all of that in one place.
